I was visiting Charlotte, NC, and decided to have breakfast here. I've eaten at another location in the state where I live, so I'm familiar with ABEC. When I came in, I noticed the atmosphere was typical. I was greeted warmly and immediately seated. My server, "Eloisa F," greeted me and took my food and drink order, which consisted of buttermilk pancakes, eggs, grits, chicken sausage, and orange juice. I enjoyed my food, except for the chicken sausage. I'm not saying it was nasty, but it wasn't for me. The one thing I would say I had an issue with was that Eloisa was always MIA. I had to ask another server for what I needed, and she was nowhere to be found when I was ready to receive the check and leave. Otherwise, she was nice.

Very nice breakfast, lunch and brunch spot. I love having brunch. I got the shrimp and grits with garlic bread. Everything was delicious the restaurant was packed there were people waiting for a table. The staff was very friendly. It is a cute breakfast restaurant.

I love trying new things, even though it doesn’t always turn out great. But today was one of those rare, happy surprises. I ordered the Peppermint Mocha Waffle, and it was absolutely unforgettable. The cool, bold hint of peppermint blended beautifully with the rich mocha waffle, whipped cream, chocolate, and white chocolate. Every bite felt comforting and exciting at the same time. Truly a delightful experience that made my day a little sweeter. I’d definitely order it again.

The food portions were great, service was spot-on, and everything was cooked as ordered and served hot. I personally love roasted garlic, so I thoroughly enjoyed my omelet! The fresh fruit side was beautiful and very tasty.

Service was amazing she helped us out with our options! Food was yummy, fresh fruit too! we got the Floridian omelette and the Benedict, super good. Also a lot of seafood options so if you’re into that, this is an amazing option for cheaper seafood.

Wonderful breakfast and experience at our first time here. My wife and son absolutely loved their orders! I have had better shrimp and grits but these were very good. 100% will return and highly recommend.
